Summer time!!

Well, we had SO much FUN while our friends were here! We played Settlers on the day of settlement....we went downtown and watched the fountains....we went swimming....we (Marcie and me) made a synchronized swimming routine....performed the routine......what a rush! Haha! We ate at IN-N-OUT and Cafe Rio. But most of all just enjoyed eachothers company again!! It was great.

And of course I loved getting to know Charlotte! She is so cute and fun.
Boy does she LOVE her electronics!
Here she is just chillin and makin a few phone calls....

Marcie and I at the Bellagio fountains. What a great friend! I love her!

Our little GETAWAY!!!

Adam and I decided to go camping for a night spontaneously! That is something we can enjoy doing while we don't have kids. It was really nice and quiet. It also is like 20 degrees cooler on the mountain, so it felt really good!

Collecting fire wood.

MMMMM................S'MORES!!

I LOVE this MAN!!!

Our first attempt at the dutch oven. It was good!

I had my nephews come over and spend the night at my house! We had a lot of fun! We built this fort and had fun playing in it and watching a movie in it. They wanted to do everything under the fort! I love them so much! I don't get much sleep while they are here though...haha. It's mostly my own fault though. I worry about falling asleep and not being able to hear them cry or something, so I just never really fall asleep! I don't know how moms do it!! But I will sacrifice any amount of sleep for them any day!

Motivation

I have decided that there is no better motivation to get things done around the house than to have someone come visit you!

When our friends from Texas told us that they were coming to visit us I was SUPER DUPER EXCITED!! We love them and can't wait to be reunited!

SO right away I had to get to work and get some projects done! I wanted to paint the extra bedroom yellow so it is gender neutral and we won't have to re-paint when we have kids.
Here is the room before: I like to call it Pepto-Bismal pink

And here it is now.....................isn't it beautiful?! SIKE.
It was like taking a giant highlighter and painting the room. It burns my eyes even looking at it! Back to Home Depot I go and finally a guy helped me out with the color b/c yellows are tricky.

There are at least four layers of paint there. It was crazy!

This is the final color. It looks a little weird in the picture but it is a cute pale yellow.

Clean up clean up everybody everywhere.....clean up clean up everybody do your share!
Haha, I know you have sang that song before. You thought I was joking that my nephews help me clean didn't you?! NOPE. My nephew is the best helper ever!!

Of course, he LOVED doing the man jobs with Adam more than he did cleaning with me. haha! Well adam told him to come over so he could show him what real men do, or big boys according to my nephew. He says," Adam you ARE a big boy!"

And what did he get after all this hard work..............................
a giant MARSHMELLOW!!!
That made it all worth it! Gotta love cheap labor hahaha! Love him.
We are ready for the weekend with friends!

A little update

SO... I didn't get hardly any good pics of the trip. And I am mad that I forgot my camera for one of the receptions! But, we had a great time being there with our family! We love everyone so much! I am hoping to get more pics from everyone else. This is my brother-in-law and new sister-in-law. They were gorgeous!!

I do love this one of Adam's brother and his beautiful family!
And of course I love being able to play with my nieces and nephews! Were are on the bed hiding from the rain! So fun.

Adam and I also got to go to Cali a few weeks ago to watch our sis-in-law compete in the Crossfit games. It was awsesome! There were tons of people there competing in many different events. It was fun to watch! It is tough stuff! And Blanca did amazing!! It makes me want to do it. I can't find any of her action shots though...ugh! I hate not having the pics I want. She is the one talking to the buff guy.

Their little girl Solena so cute as always!! We poured water on her b/c it was so hot out there. She loved it! It was fun! We love them.

We got to go see the Jabbocwakeez with my brother!! They were A-mazing! If you have never heard of them, they won America's Best Dance Crew a couple of years ago and they are the best ever! We loved it! And of course it made Adam want to get up there and show them what he's GOT! They could always use another dancer on the crew right?!

This was one of the guys entertaining before the show...haha....it was funny!

And that brings us to the BUG PARTY! hahaha! My mom found all this fun bug stuff and wanted to do a party with the boys. She came up with this idea so that she could bribe them to want to spend the night at her house. haha! We have to come up with some exciting thing to get them to want to spend the night. Bribing is the best! I just tell them I have some cool surprise just for them and make something up as we go along...sometimes they seem a little disappointed...haha! WHAT?! You don't like to help clean the kitchen? picky picky.

THey loved the magnifying glasses and I couldn't get them to pull it away from their face! But they are so cute anyway!

For Fun!

SO, I just have to start off with saying that I have the greatest husband EVER! He is sooooo good to me and I love him more and more everyday!

This is what he did this weekend............................

Here is our bathroom before:
And here it is now!!!

It really looks amazing and he did an awesome job! Now just need to decorate it! p.s. there is a stupid spot on our camera that you see in the pictures.

Easter FUN!!
My nephews enjoyed putting all the eggs in every color possible and having to stir them every possible moment.

We also went to the childrens science museum. It was really cool! We made HUGE bubbles and watched how to freeze marshmallows! It was fun!

And THIS week we get to go to Atlanta and see our family there!! Adam's little brother is getting married so we look forward to seeing everyone and spending some much needed time there! Can't wait...............I will post some pics when I get back.

OH Hobby lobby....

Well, I had a great weekend in Salt Lake this weekend. My dad was going up to see my grandma so I decided to tag-along! It was really fun b/c I got to do A-LOT of SHOPPING! It was sooooo nice. My dad was awesome and actually took me to all of my craft stores I NEEDED to go to! Thanks DAD!!! We also got to spend some time with my cousin for the first time. She was adopted from Guatemala and she was so cute and fun. I also got to spend some much needed time with one of my very best friends Crystal! We always have fun together. I got to meet her little girl and kiss on her cheeks...oh I love baby cheeks!! It was great.

This is a dance we went to for our ward....lets just say not too many people showerd up. But hey... WE DID!! We always enjoy a reason to get dressed up and go to a dance. I don't look so good there but Adam was smokin' HOT in his 70's get up....hahaha! Love it!

OK, so I know there are a lot of people that have been asking about us and wondering what is going on. SO I have decided to share a little with you. I have never wrote about it before I think b/c it just brings to my attention how real my feelings are when writing it...if that makes any sense. But, we still long for the opportunity to start our family. I do have the good news that I finally found a doctor that I like and is pro-active about it. We are moving along now and just hope for the best. I know that Heavenly Father knows whats best for me and He always has a plan that is better than my own. I have learned a lot already and I am sure there is much more to learn. But, I do look forward to that post when I can announce the greatest gift that can ever be given! SO...watch out!

Sledding

HAHA! OK....so I realized I just tricked everyone into thinking that those stairs are mine. Sorry, they are not. That is in my parents house...LOL! UMMMM....I only wished I could afford a house with a huge staircase! We have a single story...VERY modest home. So sorry to disappoint! BUT, we always have room for friends to come visit!!

Here we are after church in our messy house. I mean REALLY messy. But this is a small preview of the kitchen and dining room! I am waiting for Adam to get the video ready.....so that could be a while! He is a busy man!

We went sledding in the mountains a few weeks ago. It was so much FUN! I love visiting the snow and then leaving the snow....ahhh gotta love it!!

By the way, NEVER use storage boxes as sleds. They do not work! I pushed my nephew down and by the time we got to the bottom he was telling me he needs a new one b/c it wasn't fast enough!

BAHAHA! Adam is crazy!!

This was a craft idea I got from my friends in my ward in Dallas that me and my mom did. It turned out cute. It is an advent calender for December so you can have something special to do with the fam every day until Christmas! I am excited to use it next year.

Happy New Year!

So we have some good news....we are officially homeowners!! Ahhh!

We enjoyed the holidays we had here, but also missed our family in GA. And we look forward to what the new year will bring. We are grateful for all we have and for the blessings of the gospel. We are also grateful for the economic crisis because it has brought the Las Vegas real estate to its lowest...haha! No, it has been a difficult time but also a blessed time.

This is the beautiful view we get from our house. I LOVE the sunsets here! They are breathtaking. I also love the snow in the mountains-not on the roads!!

I will get some more pics and hopefully a video up of the house. SO, if anyone has an itchin to
come to Vegas...let us know!

I created this slide for the stairs....it was awesome! The boys loved it! Haha...

Thats pretty much what I do on my spare time.
